About us
Barun ICT Research Center is a non-profit think tank that aims to cultivate righteous social values related to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and provide suitable approaches towards building a safe and sustainable world of ICT. To that end, we investigate social phenomena caused by digital divide in order to identify effective measures to bridge the gap. We seek to identify psychological causes behind the excessive use of digital technology and examine its related problems. We pursue research to find better ways of protecting user privacy and building public trust in the IoT environment.
ICT, a key component of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, offers numerous benefits such as fast and convenient exchange of information. Yet, public concern for information inequality, healthy use of information technology, and privacy/data protection has been on the rise. We hope our concentrated efforts will help enlighten the public on ICT-related subjects and contribute to resolving challenges that await us.
